Briefing Japan’s speciality coffee culture, “Standart Japan #2” released

An inspirational independent magazine “Standart” released its second issue “Standart Japan #2” in July. Standart is an independent magazine that conveys the culture of specialty coffee, with a very simple goal in mind: to celebrate the culture of specialty coffee through of a marriage of quality print journalism and elegant design.

“A publication that dreams big and deftly blends artistry, intellect, and a love for coffee into a delicious mix of articles with the generous spirit, relevant material, and just the right amount of seriousness.”
– Geoff Watts, Intelligentsia Coffee
– Words: standartmag

Originated in the US, the first Japanese issue was released in 2017 and was hugely welcomed into Japan’s coffee scene.

The second issue comes close to the mystery of tamping and espresso. The special feature of the coffee producing area is Panama.
It also features the interview with Klaus Thomsen, the co-founder of Coffee Collective, the photo essay of Aeropress championship and the introduction of the domestic cafe and Kissa poetry.

Purchase through their official HP for ¥1,450 JPY each.
