Be a part of #onigiriaction to support the children in poverty for World Food Day.

#onigiriaction is a unique charity project, according to World Food Day. Founded by TABLE FOR TWO International, an international organization dedicated to addressing Global Food Imbalance.

TABLE FOR TWO International was founded in Japan in October 2007 by the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders. TFT currently has over 600 participating organizations worldwide including corporations, universities, restaurants, government offices, convenience stores and other food establishments. Since 2008, TFT has expanded globally, with operations in the US, UK, Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong, France, Italy, Switzerland and a few other European countries.

The Onigiri Action 2017 aims to donate Africa and Asia’s children who suffer in poverty. Anyone can be a part by just posting a photograph of making or eating Onigiri(Japan’s traditional rice ball) with a hashtag “#onigiriaction”. TFT count the numbers of posts and donations will be sent from TFT’s partner companies. It has already made some movement through japan’s Instagrammers and collecting 2,500 photos each day.

First started in 2015 and is their third annual year. Last year’s project collected in total of 110 thousand photos and donated 850,000 meals to the children. The Onigiri Action received “Asia Marketing Excellence Awards for Marketing 3.0.” for its archivement. The project finishes 15th of November.
